High performance fibre solutions from Wavesight

Faster
UHX108 (Ultra High eXchange) technology-unique to Wavesight, an ultra-high performance mode delivering up to 108Mbps (UK only at present – please contact us for advice on compliance in your location).
The benefits to you include:
- Faster video frame rates (ideal for conferencing and CCTV applications)
- Shift more data in the same amount of time
- Fully exploit future increases in processing power.

Longer Range
OFDM - (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) technology is employed by WaveMAX, using a composite of narrow channel bands to enhance its performance in high frequency bands (such as 5.x GHz) in urban and rural applications, where building clutter and foliage can negatively impact the propagation of radio waves.
XR (extended range mode) - WaveMAX employs XR to provide increased range with nominal bandwidth loss and guaranteed packet delivery, ideal where reliable data exchange over longer distances is essential.

More Efficient
Unique in its class, Wavesight uses three levels of compression technology to deliver greater throughput than ever before. All of these operate in both standard AP and WDS repeater modes.
Super G - packets are compressed utilising industry-standard LZ 77 architecture.
SPG1 - Unique to Wavesight, this technology further groups the packets together, greatly reducing latency and providing usable data throughput in excess of 60 Mbps.
Auto Bursting - at times of peak data transfer, WaveMAX automatically groups up to 8 of these consolidated packets together, helping you maintain effective throughput at all times.

More Secure
WaveMAX's three-level compression also provides for a highly secure hardware encryption environment, providing an unparalleled level of security. WaveMAX supports all mandatory and optional modes specified in 802.11i, including:
128 Bit Encryption - a 128-entry Key Cache holds both shared and unique keys on a per-station basis. 40 Bit Encryption is provided for access points.
AES – WaveMAX employs the AES (Advanced Encryption Scheme) cipher for its 128 Bit encryption. This provides Military-level encryption to complete the security suite. In June 2003, the US Government announced that AES may be used for for classified information. As of early 2005, no successful attacks have been reported.
TKIP - (Temporal Keying Algorithm) incorporates a packet mixing function, message integrity check, an extended initialisation vector, and a re-keying mechanism to ensure the effective scrambling of data.

Greater Compliance
WaveMAX includes user-friendly features to help you remain compliant with local frequency and power regulations.
DFS – (Dynamic Frequency Selection) automatically searches for and locks on to approved frequencies outside of excluded channels such as port and defence frequencies.
TPC - (Transmission Power Control) all WaveMAX units are factory set within the approved DBi for each market.

More Flexible
WaveMAX is highly flexible, with features that allow you to achieve the high performance network you need with less cost and complexity.
DTO (Dynamic Transmit Optimisation) technology - unique to WaveMAX, this allows each unit to be configured as a receiver, access point and repeater. For NLOS applications, this allows units to circumvent a hidden node, ensuring continuity of data flow. Being a one-box solution, this also simplifies installation, upgrades and maintenance.
Together, this rich feature set offers substantial benefits over previous wireless bridging solutions, making WaveMAX ideally suited for Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) PtP and PtMP applications, such as: Wireless Internet access, Backhaul, Hotspots, Telco and ISPs VoIP and Data Networks, Last mile access, Community Broadband and private network expansion.
